Horses were low this month, although apparently not up north, but nobody was bidding.  It was a thunderstorm and people were apparently asleep because there was just nobody buying besides traders and KB's and even they were lack luster.

I am furious, I missed a genuine stubben saddle, and it looked good, for $85 because mom and I were talking about it and he ended it quickly. FML!  I wanted it before I heard the brand. There was another expensive English saddle that went cheap but it wasn’t as nice looking.

I left at that point since I didn’t need yet another project.
I still haven’t named the mare I got, I’m trying to think of something cool. She is sweet, they said she was a kicker and aggressive to other horses in the pen so they had to put her by herself. (I forgot to say to pen her by herself anyway).  She loaded great and is not aggressive at ALL.  Totally not a kicker.  Rides pretty well. Has some spunk and she’s starting to come out of her shell. She moped for 2 days and wouldn’t leave the corner. Well cared for and she obviously liked her last owner. Seems to like guys.  I don’t know a lot about her yet.

I like the names Dremora, Daedra, Mondolwyn. Mom likes Gwynevere, Gwendolyn and Aela. I think she needs something a little darker though. We're open to ideas! Theme is fairy, Elvish, Skyrim (lol), mythical or otherwise unique.

  1. She's pretty! Looks like the previous owner treated her right, I don't understand how someone can send their horse thru a low end auction like that.

  2. Nice mare! Nicely put together and I love her mane. You always seem to pick really well, I wish I could bring you with me next time I go horse shopping! I like Dremora for a name, I agree she needs something dark and elven.

    How is Brea coming along?

  3. Thanks, she's interesting.. smart but possibly kind of calculating... She hasn't done anything, it's just a feeling. Brea's doing well, except for today, today she was a pill. Like arguing with a brick wall. Normally she's good, much better about turning, walking and trotting. Not an easy keeper though...

  4. she makes me think of Arya Stark....not the wee cheery lassie....Arya when she leaves the Hound where he fell without showing him mercy, calculating, confident, independent. She is a stunner :D

  5. Haha, yes! I'd go with that if I hadn't had an Arya already. I've actually had an Arya, Ice and a Brienne. I did consider Khaleesi for a bit. Dremora seems to be sticking; the poor thing right now has a cold/shipping fever and is stuck back in quarantine.
