What I came home with: 2 cinches (one actually really nice, one crap): $2
2 Breast collars: $2
1 Nice thick leather bridle with tom thumb bit: $4
1 Hay bag: $2.
Big spender, huh?
Anyway, it was just a weird auction. There weren't a lot of horses, even fewer nice horses, and those went high. Even without riding or saying anything about them which drove me crazy. Also, there really weren't a lot of kill buyers there... Which was awesome!

One of the people said she was trying to kick when they brought her in. But she was good with a guy that tried to pet her and she was ridden through bareback and rode nicely. Since none of my picks came home with me, I'm going to go to the London horse sale tonight. It's under new, better, management so we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck!
Thanks for the Auction report, I just read through your whole blog, wow! It's nice to see what horses you picked up and how they turned out afterwards, amazing.
ReplyDeleteWill you ever tell us the story of how you got your horse? You mentioned it a while back but I couldn't find his story.
Thanks for blogging about the work you do :)
